Connecting hearts to Christ

Praying WhiteENCOUNTER

This is the first environment we intentionally want to provide for you to grow spiritually. It is worship centered and God focused. By regularly encountering God in worship we are changed by His presence and reminded of His love and calling.

This environment is designed to help you grow in discipleship (learning to be like Jesus). This environment is teaching centered and Bible focused. We believe discipleship is a process, and we want to equip you to take your next step in growth by getting you into the truth of God’s Word with other believers.

This environment is service/outreach centered and is others focused. We are committed to providing opportunities for our church family to grow spiritually through serving inside and outside the church building so that others can begin their journey with Christ. We desire to engage each other and our world with Christ’s love, and help connect other hearts to Christ.

This video explains why we are so passionate about our mission.  We want EVERYONE to know the Good News that changed our life and can change yours!

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

2 Corinthians 5:20

We know that it can be uncomfortable to walk into an unfamiliar church… hopefully this will help.

You probably have a lot of questions about us. We want to try and answer as many of them as we can so that you’ll feel more informed about our church when you come worship with us and get involved. We hope the information in the pages under this tab are helpful. If any of your questions aren’t answered after watching and reading the provided information please use the form on this site to contact us and we’ll get back to you very soon!

…but the operation of the church and its mission cannot happen without your support.  Giving to the church has a two-fold purpose:
  • Obedience – God commands us to give 10% of our wealth as an offering; not because He needs it, but because He knew we needed the constant reminder to not put our faith in money and wealth.  More than any other thing, money has the tendency to become an idol above God in our life.  By regularly giving we testify that God is first in our heart, that we trust Him to provide for our needs, and it reminds us that He blesses us with money in the first place. God also promises to bless those who are obedient and worshipfully tithe to him (Malachi 3:10-12), and scripture validates that promise (Proverbs 3:9-10).
  • Funding the Mission – Ministry costs money. The only place that the church receives the necessary funds to operate is through the obedience and generosity of her members.  When you give to the church you helping us provide things like: Salaries for staff; utilities; maintenance on our facility; mortgage payment for facility addition; office supplies; books and materials for discipleship; ministry supplies for nursery, kids and teens; funds for food pantry ministry; funds to give to those in need; support for missionaries; support of global ministry through the Church of the Nazarene; support of Nazarene higher education; supporting retired ministers and their spouses in the Church of the Nazarene.

Meet the Mandan Nazarene Church leadership team

Greg – Senior Pastor
Even though I was raised in the church, I have not always walked with the Lord.  Fortunately though, His relentless pursuit of my heart held grace out to me even when I rejected it.  What an honor to be able to be a pastor and share that same message of love and forgiveness with others!  I've been in ministry since 1997 and have been the pastor at Mandan Nazarene since June of 2010.  Along the way, God has given me a passion for His Word and for seeing lives transformed by the good news of Jesus Christ!  I hope that I will get a chance to meet you and introduce to you my wife, Kelly, and two daughters, Jordyn and Ally.
Curt – Connections Pastor
I was raised going to church. When I was 17 years old God opened my understanding to realize that I needed to be born again. I prayed, was counseled by a Salvation Army officer, and went back to a loving church who helped me grow in Christ. After years ministering in other places, it is a thrill for my wife Marilyn and I to be involved at Mandan Nazarene Church. My goal is to disciple believers in their ministry to each other and the people God brings to our church. Bringing people together to pray for, support, and love each other is vital to the spiritual growth of our church. We all need to fulfill the Great Commission and the Great Commandment; Love God and Love One Another.
Linda – Office Administrator
I am glad to be part of this great church. Not only as part of the church body but as the office administrator. It has been quite the journey with Jesus as my Savior. I can’t thank Him enough for loving me and for giving my life purpose.
