W I have always believed in Jesus, but spent most of my life running from him because I thought he was just about rules and not having any fun. The miracle is he never stop pursuing me! “He knows His plans for me” the Lord has called me to preach His word. I am currently fulfilling the call as a pastor to children and teens here at the Mandan Nazarene Church. I also am a student at the Nazarene Bible College where I am studying to earn a bachelor's in pastoral ministries. The Lord has blessed me with an amazing wife, Stephanie, and two unbelievable children my daughter Riley Belle and son Joshua Jr. The Lord has giving me hope and a future. Thank you Jesus!Pastor Josh LaVack

Even though I was raised in the church, I have not always walked with the Lord. Fortunately though, His relentless pursuit of my heart held grace out to me even when I rejected it. What an honor to be able to be a pastor and share that same message of love and forgiveness with others! I’ve been in ministry since 1997 and have been the pastor at Mandan Nazarene since June of 2010. Along the way, God has given me a passion for His Word and for seeing lives transformed by the good news of Jesus Christ! I hope that I will get a chance to meet you and introduce to you my wife, Kelly, and two daughters, Jordyn and Ally.Pastor Greg Baker Check out Pastor Greg's blog HERE.

NurseryWe provide a nursery for infants and preschoolers during our services, but we want parents to know that their kids are welcome in our services if they would like to bring them into the sanctuary. We are dedicated to providing a safe, caring, and fun place for infants and preschoolers in our nursery. Here are some things you will experience if you choose to utilize the nursery ministry when attending service:A check-in station: - Near the nursery we have a check-in station that prints an identity sticker for the child and one for the parent. Our nursery staff will only allow the child to be released to the parent that has the corresponding sticker to ensure safety.A friendly staff:-Our nursery staff have been selected through a process of screening and are committed to following practices to ensure the safety and care of each child.A kid friendly environment:- A fun, clean environment where your kids can play and learn. Kids are always welcome in our services, but we want you to be able to worship freely knowing that your kids are in good hands if you choose to bring them to our nursery.EPIC Night – Wednesday Nights @ 7 p.m.We are committed to providing family worship experiences, while at the same time ministering to the next generation of teens and kids in a way that "speaks their language."EPIC night is a family worship environment that utilizes a big group/small group format (meaning we're all together in a big group for part of the time, and then in age appropriate small groups for part of the time). We spend time having fun, worshiping, and learning from God's Word together. We are committed to safety and protection for all our teens and kids, so there is also a check-in system on Wednesday nights for teens and kids. The teens simply check-in on our computer system, and the kids check in and receive printed stickers that enable the parent and child to be paired at the end of the night.Raising kids to live for God in a world that encourages them to live a different way is tough - we know that. It's important to us to encourage and equip moms and dads to disciple and teach their kids how to know God more and live for Him better in their daily lives. That's why we encourage moms and dads to come and experience EPIC nights with their teens and kids.

I was raised going to church. When I was 17 years old God opened my understanding to realize that I needed to be born again. I prayed, was counseled by a Salvation Army officer, and went back to a loving church who helped me grow in Christ. After years ministering in other places, it is a thrill for my wife Marilyn and I to be involved at Mandan Nazarene Church. My goal is to disciple believers in their ministry to each other and the people God brings to our church. Bringing people together to pray for, support, and love each other is vital to the spiritual growth of our church. We all need to fulfill the Great Commission and the Great Commandment; Love God and Love One Another.Pastor Curt Dikoff

What We Believe These are the beliefs Nazarenes hold to be true:We believe in one God-the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living. We believe that man is born with a fallen nature, and is, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually. We believe that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers. We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place. For more information about our beliefs click here.
